The Final Stop - Cleveland

The good Lord can take me now. The Reds have won the coveted Ohio Cup, the greatest achievement in baseball.

Sarcasm aside, it was good to finally see some winning Reds baseball on the final leg of the roadtrip, as the Reds won both Saturday and Sunday Progressive Field to take the season series against the Indians, 5 games to 1.

And it was nice to finally sleep in my own bed for once. A week's worth of Economy Inn, Ramada, and Days Inn mattresses is not what the chiropractor ordered.

We are all pretty worn out from all the driving, sightseeing, walking, and baseball at this point, but I think I can say for everyone that this was a great trip, one that none of us will soon forget. We saw more in our week-long trip than many other people see in the course of their lifetimes. We had a lot of laughs, and none of us killed each other, so I think it was a success from that standpoint. Thanks for a great trip, guys. And thanks to the people in the cities we visited, whoever you are, for being so welcoming and showing us a great time. Although I'm drained from the trek, I'm energized to visit other cities and ballparks in the coming years.

Cheers,
Mike
